The Grandmothers

Cherry Robbins and Dr. Sheila Nazereli are members of an organization called Grandmothers to Grandmothers which seeks to raise awareness and mobilize support in Canada for Africa’s grandmothers. They spoke to us about their personal experiences and about the novel Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson, a compelling story about a man who changes the face of education in Pakistan. The Grandmothers opened our eyes to the major problems with HIV/AIDS and education all over the world.
