Name: Thomas Pigden

Home School: Eastview

Hi my name is Thomas Pigden and I was born and raised in Barrie Ontario. I live with my mom, dad, and my dog Chief, on the east side of Barrie. I went to Steel Street Public school and I now attend Eastview Secondary school although Innisdale is a nice school; it isn’t as great as Eastview. The Best thing about living in the east end of Barrie is a lot of my friends live close to me so there is always something fun to do. I have two older sisters in university. Kristen is my oldest sibling who is currently working on an MBA at the University of Brock, and Stacy the middle child goes to the University of Ryerson and is currently playing on the women’s varsity basketball team. I get along well with both of my sisters and I am proud of both of them. A few of my greatest values are my family and friends. I love to spend time with my cousins in Orillia at my grandpa’s house on Lake Couchiching in the summer time. I have many different hobbies that I enjoy doing. For starters I really enjoy playing basketball. Besides being my favorite sport to play I like the competitive nature of the game and I also like the team work that is evolved while playing, another hobby of mine is playing golf, I always play golf in the summer months with friends and family. It’s a great game to relax and it’s also very competitive. When I was younger I used to go to camp for the summer. Because of this I really enjoy camping and kayaking. This summer I am planning a camping trip to Quebec with some of my friends that I met in Global. Some things in life that mean a lot to me would be the Montreal Canadians, although I live near Toronto and that means I would have to be a Maple Leafs fan I’m not. Ever since I can remember I have loved the Habs and look forward to them winning the Stanly cup this year. Another item in my life that I cherish is my Ford Ranger, without question the best truck in the world. Alright that’s pretty much my life outside of Global whoooo!!!!!!

Quotes: "Never take life so seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway." & "He who laughs last didn’t get it."

Future Plans: In the future I plan on getting a full paid scholarship to the University of Gonzaga to play Basketball for their NCAA Division 1 Basketball program. After University I will become a Formula 1 race car driver. I’m not certain on how I am going to make this dreams come true but I’m sure I will persevere and make it happen.
