Mr. Ruttan

Mr. Ruttan is a very unique teacher, who has influenced the lives of many Global students. As a teacher in the Global Perspectives program, Mr. Ruttan not only teaches World Spiritualities, but an integrated course with many different components. Every day, he challenges his students to come up with their own answers to their questions. In doing this, he helps the students broaden their way of thinking and eventually, define themselves.
When specializing in the World Spiritualities course, Mr. Ruttan has a vast knowledge of many different religions and spiritualities. He teaches with an unbiased opinion, so that students don’t feel pressured to believe anything. Students are able to comfortably ask whatever questions they want, in order to enrich their spirituality and open their minds to new things. In his class, he likes students to think of new ideas, and be original. As he always quotes, be creative and good things will happen!
Mr. Ruttan’s quirty and witty attitude makes him an approachable teacher, who is great to have in a classroom! If he’s not asking question about push led pencils or cell phones, he is quoting Star Trek! Mr. Ruttan has made a great contribution to the Global Perspectives Program. When the students look back on their journey through the semester, he is sure to be remembered!
